Se acabó. Si todo era una mierda por culpa de la universidad ahora lo es más aún. ¿Como te sentirías tú, personaje que me lees de cuando en cuando, si de buenas a primeras te quitan la música? Esa música que a tí te gusta y que te hace sentir bien o que te hace ver las cosas de otra forma, que te anima, que te deprime, que, en definitiva, te define…
Te sentirías mal, muy mal, como me estoy sintiendo yo ahora mismo.

Y nos la han líado. Os comento. Hace unos meses Armin firmó un contrato con la gente de TheRadioDepartment de Londres, para gestionar los derechos del radioshow A State Of Trance (de ahora en adelante, ASOT) y para expandir las zonas de emisión de este programa a muchos más paises. De igual manera, la empresa Digitally Imported, que emite musica electrónica en internet paga a TRD un canon por emitir los ASOT en internet. Y ahora estas dos empresas movidas por el afán recaudotorio están contactando con todos los sitios donde se ofrecen descargas del programa para eliminarlos de los servidores, de forma que no se puedan bajar nunca más y acabar así con el sueño de muchos tranceros.

Djmixes2k.com:

Gavin Kingsley, the Director of The Radio Departement asked us to remove all A State Of Trance (Armin Van Buuren sets) and Digweed @ KISS livesets from the djmixes2k pages so we did. They have the management of the ASOT show and sites that want to broadcast the show must pay a monthly fee (like Digitally Imported does). Djmixes2k work with the artists and agents, not against so the decision to remove the sets in question was an easy one to make. Other sites that offer ASOT/Digweed sets for download will apparently be contacted by The Radio Departement in the near future.

We have been requested by theradiodepartment to remove all ASOT downloads and torrents, and as djmixes2k, we have done as requested. So we wont be hosting A State of Trance 202, 203, 204, etc. However we will be sharing just as many dj mixes each week.

At the request of the A State of Trance Management we have removed all torrents, and downloads from our site and servers.

We will also close any threads offering downloads of A State of Trance in the members download section.

We beleive the Radio Department must be sure they are taking the correct action to further the show, and allow it to be broadcast in more countries. And the future of A State of Trance sounds to be safe.

We will not be offering any more downloads of Armins A State of Trance, but will continue to offer other DJs and keep promoting the trance industry we love.

Sí claro, pero Ukta sin sets de Armin no es lo mismo. Yo lo siento mucho por él, porque seguramente pensaba que al firmar el contrato lograría llegar a más gente pero… no no. Ahora vas a perder audiencia, Armin. Esto te va a doler más a tí que a todos nosotros. Perderás fans, ventas de discos, público en tus conciertos… por lo menos en aquellos lugares donde tu show no pueda ser escuchado.

El mismo Armin ha reconocido que si no fuera por Internet y por la amplísima comunidad de tranceros, su popularidad no sería tal y el trance no sería lo que es hoy día. Incluso en sus programas animaba a grabar sus mezclas con el mp3. Pero no es culpa suya. Los capullos de TRD ahora le tienen cogido por los huevos, asi que… a joderse.

Otro sueño que se acaba. El dinero puede a la música y a la buena voluntad. Es muy triste pero así funciona el mundo…
