Como decía ahí abajo, me ha dado por intentar instalar de nuevo el lm-sensors. Esta vez, al contrario que la anterior, me ha avisado de que no era un paquete firmado, o confiable, y necesitaba mi expreso consentimiento (un Sí con acento y todo) para instalarlo. Y me he arriesgado. Probablemente si me viera algún experto en seguridad me cortaría el cuello por no comprobar nada y fiarme de estas cosas….

El caso es que después como root he lanzado el famoso sensors-detect que intenta detectar qué sensores tienes en tu sistema. Anteriormente lo único que obtenía era un no sensors found, con un P4 2.8 Ghz, 512 DDR y placa Abit BH7.

includes address 0×69 (clock chip).

Some chips are also accessible through the ISA bus. ISA probes are
typically a bit more dangerous, as we have to write to I/O ports to do

Durante la detección, el programa nos preguntará si deseamos buscar sensores en determinados buses… como podeis ver, en mi caso, la mayoría de los tests fallaron, tan sólo reconociendo el driver para el Intel 82801DB ICH4. Al parecer Abit no proporciona documentación sobre los chips que monta y esto perjudica el desarrollo de programas como este.

Al final, incluso se nos dice los módulos que debemos cargar al inicio y si deseamos que el programa nos las añada por nosotros al /etc/modules:
